To laugh
In life you always meet new friends. That's a fact. What's also a fact is that you connect at once or the connection takes time to grow. Either way, the best way to keep that growing is to spend time together.
And so I met some great people I had to work with executing a new initiative: the Moengo Festival of Music. We came together by chance and started bounding in a funny way; through the work that needed to be done. It was all hands on deck. We had to since some people who promised to be there weren't. And although everyone had it's own job we stepped in, without thinking, to help each other out. During 3 days we had to get up early in the morning and went to bed the next morning. Yes, after the festival hours we sat down to chill and laugh. One by one everyone was leaving for their room. Oh..our rooms, since we hooked up 2 or 3 peops in one room. In the end we were tired, but the job was done. And not just done: the festival became a huge success.

Two weeks after the festival we decided to evaluate. We again spend two and a half days together. A road trip that normally takes 1,5 hours, took us 4. Just imagine the craziness in the car. The food that night was gone in a blink of an eye. The next day we visited our neighboring country French-Guiana, walked a whole lot and drank some delicious Vietnamese soup. Back in the homeland we had some barbecue and some more stories. And finally on the last day we got to the evaluating part.
The moral of the story: not everyone in life you meet in the traditional way of shaking hands and get acquainted or during vacations. Friends you make everywhere. I made some great once and when we're together we are laughing out loud a lot. Maybe too much, but we don't care. To laugh is to live. To laugh is to avoid wrinkles. To laugh is to let go of stress. To laugh is to enjoy life. But most of all..to laugh is to be happy.
I am happy. Are you?
Odi,
Roseternal
Ps: thank you to the new friends on the job Marcel, Vincent, Juanita, Razia, Malio, Seneca & Abigael. I laughed my butt out these two weekends.
