Suriname Jazz: do you feel it?

Yeah..it’s gonna happen once again. We are almost there for the start of the 12th edition of the Suriname Jazz Festival. And it’s not an easy one. This year we have participants from 5 countries: the Netherlands, La Guyane, United States of America, Curacao and Brasil. Of course, we don't forget our own Surinamese musicians who will join in.

We are super exited about two things. First, we are very able to bring you kaseko jazz -our very own jazz genre- at the festival. It's about time that other countries and jazz lovers all over the world learn about the kaseko jazz. And the man who is doing all in his power to let the world know about kaseko jazz is at our festival. Ronald Snijders, member of one of the most prestigious musical families is joining us this year.
And number 2: Tim Wes, the Tim Wes -only 21 years of age- will be making a lot of youngsters their heart pump faster. This guy is making jazz very hip and the festival has not yet started but already everyone is asking about his performances. So wait and see, but also come and see for yourself.

Our other participants are slowly but surely arriving. Jason Hainsworth (USA), Eric Bonheur (La Guyane), Eric Calmes (Curacao) and Quiure Show Band are all very exited to join. We from the Suriname Jazz Festival Foundation are exited as well. So the only one missing is you. Are you exited?

Let's Jazz and make this edition another one we will be talking about years to come!

Odi,
Roseternal

Ps: come back here daily for the scoops of the day.
